Traditional Koori Artist | Daren Dunn

Daren Dunn

Raised in Dubbo NSW, Daren had an insatiable appetite for learning and would sit closely with uncles and aunties learning the stories and symbols of traditional Koori Art. As painting was a part of everyday life, Daren took to it naturally and would love to work with the colours and techniques demonstrated by the elders.

In 2006, with the support of his wife and family, Daren left his work with the Department of Education and Communities to pursue a career as a full time artist. Combining art with his passion for sport, he has been commissioned to produce custom hand-painted designs for some of the world’s most prominent athletes including David Beckham, Ricardo Kaka, Rory McIlroyand Roy Jones Jnr. At home he continues to support Aboriginal athletes such as Daniel Geale and NRL elite Greg Inglis and Johnathon Thurston.

Over the past 16yrs Daren has created, exhibited and sold his original art work around the world including in galleries throughout Europe and the Arab Emirates.

A proud Koori Christian man Daren has dedicated much of his time and work to supporting charitable projects in communities both locally and internationally.
